The Bossy Mama Flaunt was held on October 23, 2010.
It was a HUGE success - we raised more than 3800 diapers and $2000 dollar for the Terra Centre for Pregnant & Parenting Teens and had more than 1000 attend the show. Our 67 vendor tables were amazing and the Pandora Lounge (not to mention the $1000 VIP giveaway!) was well received!
A huge thank you to Lexus of Edmonton for their title sponsorship, Pandora & Mommy Connections for their Premier Sponsorship, Reel Moments, Lindisfarne Productions & Timeless Edge Photography for truly capturing the show. Catapult Marketing did a fabulous job of designing the program, postcards and posters and Wild Rose Communications ensured the success of our PR campaign. We wouldn't have had swag bags without Gandhara Designs support. Those bags (and all the contributors!) had people lined up more than hour before the show began! By 11:17 the 250 bags were all gone! Our special thanks for Rayacom for all their layout and print work.
The entertainment was impeccable by Urban Metropolis Entertainment Group and Kira Hladun - thank you for creating the energetic atmosphere!
We received many comments thanking us for having a soundproof Bossy Baby room on-site that was glass so moms could still enjoy the show while tending to their little ones. Thank you Abbott Nutrition for sponsoring that room.
Our volunteers were simply amazing! Thank you to Kelley with Guaranteed Financial (also a member of BPW Edmonton) for being my right hand at the show and ensuring everyone knew what they were doing! Barefoot Wine and Alley Kat were amazing, even our vendors took a moment for a taste test.
And finally, to Kim Duke, d'Lish & Premier Event Management. Each of you contributed specifically for the direct benefit of our vendors, and for that we are grateful. Premier Events Management ensured our vendors were prepared leading up to the Flaunt through their vendor newsletters (and a helpful tip from Kim each week as well!) Kim got everyone pumped up for the show with her energetic and inspiring Sales Diva confidence. Without d'Lish, this would have been yet another show where vendors survived on trail mix and bottled water all day!
Each of our sponsors and volunteers made our show possible - without them, we would not have been able to offer our members such a low vendor fee or host the show in such an elegant venue. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything!
